The six layers of a production Azure landing zone — and what breaks without each

Click a layer. This is the reference architecture VADIX deploys as Bicep modules in the Landing Zone Foundation engagement, and the lens we use in the Azure Architecture Review. Nothing here is theoretical: every item maps to a module, a policy, or a pipeline.

      How this becomes your environment

Three fixed-scope steps. Each ends with something you own — a report, a repo, a running platform — never a dependency on us.

      1. Azure Architecture Review · 1–2 weeks — your environment scored against these six layers; a prioritized, costed remediation plan.
      2. Landing Zone Foundation · 4–8 weeks — the blueprint deployed as Bicep modules in your tenant, with pipelines and policy.
      3. Platform Ops & FinOps · ongoing — observability, cost guardrails, and the backlog that keeps the platform current.

Aligned with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Well-Architected Framework. Compliance tags indicate control families the layer supports, not certification of your environment.
