A naive calendar marks a day "busy" when anything is booked. This engine counts units: three confirmed bookings on the same Saturday sell the tent out; two leave one to sell. Turnaround days for pickup and cleaning are reserved automatically.

What changed for the business
- They own the platform — no recurring licence for core operations
- Pricing finally matches how the business actually rents (hour · day · weekend · week · event)
- Quoting moved from manual judgment to an engine; availability from a guess to a count
- Customer, booking, and catalog data lives in their own database
- Reproducible Azure infrastructure as code — no vendor lock-in
Phase 2 extends the same platform to a native mobile app for field crews. Stack: Next.js 15 · TypeScript · Prisma · PostgreSQL · Stripe · Azure Container Apps · Blob Storage · Communication Services · Application Insights · GitHub Actions.
